Carrot Cake Porridge
Elevate your porridge game with this moreish carrot cake porridge. It's full of flavour, texture and of course nourishment. A real treat for the whole family and super easy to make.
Ingredients
Carrot Cake Porridge
- 85g Wheat flakes
- 85g Fine oats
- 1/8 tsp Ground Clove
- 1/4 tsp Ground Ginger
- 1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg
- 2 tsp Mixed spice
- 3tbsp Palm sugar
- 1tsp Vanilla Essence
- 1 Large carrot (finely grated)
- 830ml Cashew milk
Toppings (Optional)
Method
- Put all ingredients in a medium pan (add dry first)
- Bring to boil
- Cover with lid, reduce to a low heat and leave to simmer for 40-50 minutes (stir every 10-15 minute and add extra milk if necessary)
- Serve with a drizzle of maple syrup, sultanas and walnuts
